Abstract

ABSTRACT Research aim to determine factors cause of inflation in Indonesia and policy formulated in barricading inflation in Indonesia pursuant to its cause factor. Using data of time series within 1971-2007 and method of Vektor Error Correction Model (VECM). Result of research indicate that there are relation of significant on a long- run among accelerating inflation in Indonesia with rupiah exchange rate to dollar, national income, supply of money M1 and world crude oil price. In is short-run discovered by relation of significant among accelerating inflation in Indonesia with import inflation, while rupiah exchange rate to dollar, national income, supply of money M1 and world crude oil price do not there are causality of Ganger in short-term. Result of research indicate that policy of governmental economics to important factor to barricade inflation in Indonesia. Keyword: inflation, VECM and policy govertmental economics.
