Abstract

The purpose of this research was estimated of somaclonal variation in four Chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflora Tzvelev) cultivars by using chromosome analysis. Chrysanthemum chromosome was analyzed using starch squash methode. Chromosome analysis showed that chromosome number of Fiji White, Fiji Dark, Puma Putih dan Stroika cultivar without using colchicines is 2n=36 and 2n=54 chromosome, meanwhile using colchicines they have 72-108 chromosome number. These result demonstrated that chromosome analysis is effective to estimated somaclonal variation in Chrysanthemum.
