Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine NAA and BAP consentration in MS medium to increase the growth and yield of orchid callus (Dendrobrium sp) through in vitro culture. The research was designed in factorial completely randomized design with three replications. The first factor consisted of A0 without NAA, A1 NAA 1 mg/l and A2 NAA 2 mg/l. The second factor comprised of three level treatment of NAA concentrations i.e. 0 mg/l, 1 mg/l and 2 mg/l. The NAA treatment showed that the growth of plantlet was highly significant to planlet heigth and shoot initiation but there was no significant to number of roots. The result showed that the growth of plantlet after treatment of BAP was significant to highly significant plantlet height and shoot initiation, no significant to number of roots at 6 week after treatment but significant at 7 and 8 weeks after treatment. There was no interaction between NAA and BAP treatment to increase the growth of Orchid callus. Key words : NAA, BAP, Dendrobium, Tissue culture
