Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of situational leadership and work motivation on employee performance. Data collection methods used were structured interviews to respondents obtained by using questionnaires that distributed to 69 respondents of employees from 223 populations and using proportional random sampling technique. Methods of data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis, where to test and partial test using the t test with significance level of 5% . The hypothesis of this study is situational leadership and motivation affect the work performance of employees in the production divisionn of PT. Arun NGL Lhokseumawe. Results of analysis for situational leadership and motivation to work simultaneously have a significant impact on employee performance at the 95% confidence level (α = 5%). The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.546 for customer satisfaction which means that the variation of situational leadership and motivation in explaining variations in the level of employee performance by 54.6%, while the remaining 45.4% is explained by other factors not included in the model. Partial test results for situational leadership are positive and significant impact on employee performance. To work motivation are also positive and significant impact on employee performance. Variable situational leadership is the most dominant factor affecting employee performance. Simultaneously also found that situational leadership and motivation positive and significant impact on employee performance in the production division of PT. Arun NGL Lhokseumawe.
