Abstract

Electricity is part of renewable energy. Electrical energy has become one of the basic needs for the people in the present, to be used in urban and rural areas. This phenomenon can be seen from the surge in demand for electricity from year to year has increased. Especially for the region of Aceh Provincial Government. More conducive security situation after the Helsinki MoU and the pace of economic growth continues to increase after the Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Aceh indirectly have an impact on the increasing demand for electrical energy. Various natural potentials in the areas where hydropower energy in Aceh is very good so it raises the idea to develop this area into one of the leading tourist destination in the province. That requires infrastructure as supporting tourism and recreation activities in this area. Relating to the above, there should be careful planning and thorough to realize a tourist area that can meet the needs of the public to tour, and can be the identity and pride of the Province of NAD, and can also contribute positively to the development of the surrounding area, both physically and economically.
