Abstract
Indonesian nation is a great nation with diversity of ethnic groups, cultures, customs, religions, and even languages that spread throughout the archipelago. Each region or ethnic group has its own language to communicate each other. There are at least about 652 regional languages in Indonesia in 2018 which were recorded by the Language Development Board of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Languages derived from one parent origin (cognate) have a kinship in ancient times.
