Abstract
Local separatism of Free Aceh Movement (GAM) in Aceh has attracted international public attention most through foreign media in overseas and national media. The reports somehow is unbalanced between facts. Therefore the investigation on how media framed is needed. The research take place before and after MoU in Helsinki where the peace agreement between Free Aceh Movement (GAM)and Indonesia government is signed. By using content analysis together with Framing theory by Entman, this research gathers the data of two big scale media;BBC United Kingdom and Jakarta Post. The result shows both media tend to be negatively in the time before the MoU and then soon become positively soon after that.BBC and Jakarta Post shares the same interest on topics of politic,economic, peace and democracy with different ranges on result.
