Abstract

Globalization has been great impact to developing countries, such as Indonesia. It can be effect in various aspects, especially culture and media. Media ussually have ideology and global culture content, thus it changes to local culture. Post-Tsunami in Aceh, which is one of Indonesian province, has adoption of the content indirectly ensure the development of media in television, movies, and even internet. The adopted foreign culture exhibit in social aspects, such as modern fashion, morality values and global lifestyle adopted by youth people in Aceh now. The aim of this study will be analyze to explore how media have change youth people in Aceh. Qualitative method with semiotic analysis has been applied in this study, where as global culture will be represented by icon, code and symbol from media image as youth people change of life.
