Abstract
This paper describes the significance of community members’ involvement in post-disaster redevelopment. The purpose of this study is to show that the participatory approach is a realistic and effective tool in dealing with the post- disaster relief process. This study finds that the involvement of the affected people and communities in disaster relief is instrumental to any long-term plans for sustainable recovery change.
