Abstract

Activity urban communities currently are more complex than the urban before. The concept should be more ideal settings. But in most urban areas in Indonesia, the opposite happened. Large population only adds dense settlements and unorganized, and ignore the existence of open space for the public (square). On the issue of urban open space is a part or a sub-system of the municipal system as a whole. Human behavior is the existence of very significant open space, the behavior or of human activities on the use of open space caused by the need of the human being to use them. Psychologically, people need a place where he can move and interact with fellow human beings or other, whether it be sports activities, walks, hanging out with friends or family, greening, or other public activities that use open space. In this case the behavior perationalized as human activities that require setting or container activities in the form of space. Correlation spatial form that is part of the architectural form. So that the concept of the open space can be further expanded through the approach of behavioral environment. Key Words: Urban architecture, Open space, Behavioral environment, Activity.
