Abstract

Settlements in the area of the kidul mountain of Purwodadi village this is a form of settlement with the foot of the hill as a dominant element of the space. People living in the settlements under the hill using the main roads, the environment and self-help as a liaison. Topography rocky hills which have a role for Purwodadi village community as a place that affect the pattern of settlement in this region. Settlement lies in the foothills, the distribution of residential units in the region to follow the pattern of flat ground network. While the layout of the house and ancillary buildings as well as how to build it reflects the traditions of the surrounding community. Regions in Purwodadi is part of a settlement that has the potential as well as the arrangement of the facility with the environment quite well. Settlement patterns that exist here already formed naturally, settlement pattern is categorized clumped pattern (radial) and extends patterns (linear) based pattren of natural potential.
