Abstract

Production of mungbean plants (Phaseolus radiatus L.) belonging to family Leguminosae, was recorded low. Several attempts to improve it have been done in the intensification and extensification. Intensification can be done by inoculating bio-fertilizers such as vesicles arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM) and use of effective microorganism (EM-4). The purpose of this study is, to the response of mungbean plant growth and yield due to use of mycorrhizal and Effective Microorganisms (EM-4). The study design used was a randomized block design with factorial pattern consisting of two factors, namely Mycorrhizae dose consisted of 4 doses (0, 10, 20, 30 g / plant) and the concentration of EM-4 which consists of 4 levels (0, 6, 9, 12 ml / liter) and each treatment was three replication. Data were collected for plant height, number of pods per plant, number of pods per plant pithy, number of pods per plot, number of pods seeds per plot, grain yield and 100 weights. The results showed that mycorrhizal and EM-4 used resulted in an increase in plant height growth, increasing the number of pods per plant, number of pods per plot, number of pods seeds per plant , number of pods seeds per plot, grain yield and weight of seed 100. Application of michorizal 20 g / plant and the 6 ml / liter EM-4 is the best treatment for the growth and yield of mungbeans. Keywords: vesicles arbuscular mycorrhizal (VAM), grain yield, pods per plant.
